Title: Helmet Camera
Post by: Jimbob on August 11, 2013, 04:36:04 PM
Hey guys i just got a helmet camera and though i would give it a try, its just a cheap one from Aldi that cost $80 and i can take it back within 60 days if i dont like it so i thought why not.
I tested it out today and when i get up to 30km or faster it sounds like i have a boeing 747 following me. Do the more expensive camera's have noise cancelling to get past this or do you guys just do a audio recording from something like a scalla rider? Cheers

I'm not an expert on this topic but I'm pretty sure if you get a Mic for your helmet it could fix some of the problem, other than that, I'm sure the more expensive ones have better noise. But like i said most people use mics connected to the camera.

try putting the water proof seal at the back on. It might help. I have one too but have not played with it yet

Place a piece of electrical tape over the mic and is should cut down the wind noise.

Not familiar with that camera but as said and with my camera, I use an external mic placed in my helmet

Yeah those cheaper cams can't really process the high speed wind noise do what cods said.
