That is seriously one sexy bike.  And the price is not too bad either.

oh catch up lads!!!!!  ...  :D ;) ;)

i been mention it a few times .. yeah i know its a big forum ...

.. it has replaced the Triumph STR as my 'future bike' ...

.. just trying to work out the dangers of getting the idea past the missus eh!  ;)

theres a couple of FZ09 forums up and running with much drooling and anticipation ... even 'build/project threads' for what people want to modify .. already ... dang thing isnt even released/delivered until late sept/early october... !!!!!

I'm skeptical on the looks the front headlight design looks out of place and as for the tail the designer looks like he rushed it cause he had a lunch meeting at the Italian restaurant across the street. Triumph and MV Augusta did a much better job styling wise with their triple bikes and have them more features. But nice to see a jap manufacturer looking outside Japan in terms of bikes now. Lets hope the others follow suit.

Really?  What's wrong with you?  Naked sportbikes are the best.  Cheaper to insure, and all of the fun.

^^^ are they? I didn't know that. But I'll still keep my fairings for now ;)

10 more years and I'll be in my HD cruiser stage anyway ;)

Yea, and they give the look that the dude riding it isn't to be messed with - both in the good and bad sense.

It even works for a mouse like a GS ... especially for a mouse like a GS.

Cool.

Not out till last week sept / first week oct .. Ish ..... There apparently is one or maybe 2 actually riding around in the US .... Spoilt rich sons of execs allegedly

I had a similar moment couple weeks ago .... Drove opposite direction to 'the bike' ... Nearly wet myself with excitement .... 'FZ09 FZ09!!!!!!!' ... Illegal u-turn at traffic lights to follow ... It disappeared into the burbs at speed ...  ... Looked online for similar since .... Narrowed it down to a few .... Pretty sure it was a Honda CBR1000R .... Not a RR ... Went and looked at a new one in shop to verify ... And considering the brief glimpse I got of the ridden bike .. Reckon it's that... Plus the dealer man said they have a few locals that bought one recently....  :icon_rolleyes: ... It was a bit of a letdown

Also checked with a 'kind of mate' who works for a bike magazine .... He gets to do all sorts of cool new bike test rides and reviews ... The bastard!  ;) ... He said he has his name on list to try one out... But the very first chance wasn't till late sept-ish .... I trust his word enough on that, he 'good people'.

I know I'll be lynched but I think it looks like crap. Then again I think most new bikes look like crap. To many angled edges. To many little pieces of plastic everywhere. And that skinny rear and plate hanger??? They're on all the bikes today. Shlit, I'd be afraid to fart on it.

@Janx101 - This bugger was too skinny @ the motor to be the 1000rr ... had to be a twin ...

@ Pliskin: LOL, I think the headlight looks like optimus prime's testicles ... the rest its OK.

Yamaha - we have to watch the suckers real close ... they's slap an R on a bike and replace the bloody AL frame with a steel frame paint it wrinkly ... and raise the $$$ a few 1000 ...
Of course suzuki and kawasai and hondal all do that same crap ...

Cool.
