2000 Suzuki GS500E with only 7300 miles. Runs perfectly and needs nothing. Excellent condition mechanically, good condition cosmetically.
I bought this bike earlier in the year for both my wife to learn on and for my retired father to return to riding. Neither panned out so I need to recover some space in the garage. It is a shame since I have found this bike to be a ton of fun, even for a very experienced rider, but 4 is too many. Before ever contemplating letting my wife ride it, I serviced the entire bike making sure it was mechanically 100%. The prior owner had dropped it once on each side, noticeable on left tail fairing and muffler, but bike is straight/no dent in tank. Battery is strong and bike starts right up every time (no jumper cables here). Includes a Clymer service manual. Recent upgrades and service, using most factory parts, includes:
Michelin Pilot Active tires front & rear,
SW Motech engine guards,
Progressive fork spring,
Regina gold O-ring chain,
Front sprocket,
Carburetors fully cleaned and replaced every rubber o-ring,
Mild rejet (40.0 pilot and needle shim) to improve throttle response (thanks to the info in the GSwiki),
replaced all fuel lines and install quick disconnect fitting to facilitate servicing,
replaced engine oil and filter,
replaced Fork dust seals and oil,
replaced clutch cable,
regreased clutch mechanism,
regreased Steering bearing,
regreased rear suspension pivot and linkage bearing,
replaced assorted hardware and grommets that were missing when I bought it.
