Title: Hello from Long Island, NY
Post by: nico on August 27, 2013, 10:16:25 AM
Hi all,
I bought a GS500 last night and rode it home, then proceeded to ride around for another hour on it! I was attracted to it by its looks and, so far, I really like how it rides...after 1.5 hours of ride time. LOL

I have been just looking at it and seeing where stuff is, where the wiring goes, etc. This is my first motorcycle, but I have had a shifty Vespa for a few years and have played with mechanical stuff on cars: repairing this thing does not intimidate me (so far) but I'd like to know if there is a good source to get parts from and if there is a repair manual around for these.

I like taking care of my stuff, and although my little GS look a tad worn now, in a few months I'd like it to look a little fresher.

Good to be here. :)
