I want to put some aftermarket mirros on my gs. Anyone have any luck wifh the bar end mirrors an do you like them?
I think the bar end mirrors look way better. Here's a picture of a set I put on mine. I think I got them off motorcycle superstore or somewhere, there were pretty cheap. For some reason, the right side mirror was never in there very tight; it almost vibrated out one day when I was driving down the highway. I ended up just taking it out and just keeping the left-side mirror.

What I really want are mirrors like this. They screw into the handlebar mounts but are small and low like the bar end mirrors:

A combination i made up.

I recently bought a set of these (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009S0IOII/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Cheap and effective. I can finally see around my shoulders.
Since the mirrors on my after-market fairing are so poor (vibrations!) I fitted one of these cheap bar end mirrors purchased on ebay. It's a great small size that is not too obtrusive, but you should be aware that it makes overtaking cars look further away than they really are! So be careful when pulling out to overtake on the motorway/freeway!
You may have to fiddle a bit with washers to get the bar-end mirror to fit, as inside the handlebars of some models there is a welded-in nut. I managed to find a work-around and left the nut inside.

I put on some SV650 mirrors. Liked them so much I also put a pair on my 919 :thumb:

I put some cheap $20 dollar round ones on my motorcycle, I had to get different bar end adapters though from my local moto store, they were $20 a piece but clamp very nice into the handle bars. Don't mind the fact I'm missing my right mirror (had a little mishap turning my bike around in the garage, didn't drop the bike!)

I also want bar end mirrors or something lower profile than the standard ones. I actually saw a Harley *gag* with mirrors that hung down below the bars and thought that would look prettttty sweet...
Wow didnt expect this big of a reply! Thanks for all the input. Im lookin at the CRG blindsight its only a 2 inch mirror an from my research they clamp over most bar ends( the little deals on the end of the handlebar, i cant remember what there called to save my life... End caps???

oooooh .. close enough!! .. or bar end weights .. for the super techy! ;)
I have the CRG's on my GS450, and they are SMALL. Small enough that they probably aren't even legal. That being said, they are very expensive as well - I would have gone with the cheap black bar end mirrors all over eBay if I didn't have these laying around. The last set of cheap bar end mirrors I got on eBay had the insert for the end of the handlebars, but it was also able to clamp on to the bar end weights.
I found them for right around 35 bucks. The forums ive read on these guys love them!. Ill search around some more but definetly diggin these
