Title: Clutch Safety and Pits
Post by: Golly on August 28, 2013, 02:52:26 AM
Now...my PO has bypassed the clutch safety switch on this 90 model. Do I need it installed and working for the W.A. pits to pass it when it goes for its inspection...if so I am pissed as I gotta chase a harness to fund the relevant wires n such or is it a choice thing.

Cheers

Don't know WA specifics.. But doubt the clutch switch is an issue... The pink slip guys over here ... Check 1. Lights , 2. Tyres , 3. Oil leaks visible , 4. Body panels not loose , 5. Horn ... They can't check brakes cos machine not suitable ... They don't check noise cos not 'licenced' ... Just real basic ...

You renewing a rego ? .. Or blue slipping for long expired rego? ... If the govt inspectors "RTA" or whatever need to see it ... It could be more extensive ... Apart from that most of the time it's. 30-45 sec job!

Yeah I bought it un-registered.  Bike has been unregistered for some time by the looks.  Registering in my name and an inspection obviously, hopefully not to extensive or its going to be a waste of a permit charge for the ride from my house to the pits.
