Post by: 007brendan on September 01, 2013, 10:32:45 AM
Just wondering.  My but is a little tore up.  Kind of hard to find flanged nuts.

Generally yes.
Things like head bolts - use the right one. Nearly all other nuts, a nut and washer will work. and remember threadlock is your friend (right up there with duct tape)

Why not go with a nyloc nut and a flat washer  :dunno_black:

Yeah, there ended up not being enough room for washer and nut.  I ended up using a nyloc nut.  The original was a 14mm with flange. I used a 17mm nyloc without flange, which is just about the same size back.
