Title: Battery retention
Post by: nico on September 04, 2013, 04:03:42 PM
Hi guys,
In learning more and more about my bike, i noticed that the battery on mine is not strapped down.
Does it even take a strap like the tool kit?

I looked on a microfiche at the local motorcycle store and it seems to have only pads to hold the battery in place. The previous owner installed a pad on the seat structure to hold the battery in place when the seat is in place...is that it, just pads? No strap?

The bike has a 'Motobatt' I think it is called....a yellow thing.

My photo doesn't have one, but I'm thinking it did have a strap?
That or the seat held it in?

The seat does hold it down but i was never keen on that idea by itself so i put additional padding inside the cradle & added a small strap.
