Title: Fuel coming out of air intake on carbs
Post by: 04GSFAM on September 05, 2013, 08:15:09 AM
I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything like this.
Just bought my first GS500F. It's a 2004 with 7800 miles on it. I new it was having some carb trouble when I bought it. It was shooting fuel out of the intake side on the carbs. So I thought float issue for sure. Well took carbs apart and thy looked clean and all parts were moving freely. I cleaned them anyway. Is there another issue that I should be looking at? By the way this is not just a little bit coming out, this filled the air box without noticing. I mean it was running bad, but wouldn't have guessed that bad.
Also does anyone know where I can get Allen bolts for the float bowls, etc.?

Make sure your floats are adjusted to spec and the float needles are sealing. As for the Allen bolts, Buddha sent me some when I bought new jets from him.
