Title: Help choosing an exhaust
Post by: akak269 on September 16, 2013, 07:26:05 AM
Hey all,
I currently have a 2004 gs500f and was wondering what are your opinions on exhausts. I only want a slip on for the moment (due to cash) and i can only find like 3 different brands (none to which anyone i know said to get). I would rather a shorty exhaust like the gsxr m4's. I know with a little modification anything is possible, but I dont want to need to reweld 3 different pieces of pipe. Is there anyway to get the m4 to fit, or any other exhaust?
Thanks.

this is what my motorcycle came with from the PO. it has a nice throaty roar in the upper rpms and isnt too loud if you are cruising lower rpms.

My shorten yoshi just sold on ebay but I have a like new Hotbodies slip on for sale. It is nice and it is loud. You would need to have an exhaust shop fab a small piece of pipe

Cheapest will probably be a used slip on from eBay that matches the GS exhaust diameter.  The delkevic shorties are pretty cheap and look cool.  I've never seen our heard one in person though.
