Title: GSX750 foot pegs & shifter location
Post by: cheddle on September 29, 2013, 06:43:24 PM
so I fitted some aftermarket GSXR750 pillion foot pegs to my gs, much nicer to sit on now with a good 2cm lower foot position and no more square peg ^.^

however!

The shifter is now too high to downshift without lifting my foot off the peg

Do I have quick and easy options to get the shifter a little lower?? (i.e: another models shifter??) I tried rotating it however upshifting (due to angle) is nigh impossible

Bend the shifter.
I bent mine 10-12mm lower,in a vice using a Burnzomatic & leverage.....bent rather easily too.  :)

Lol... ok well I might just have to buy a second one to "manipulate"

How do you find upshifts? with it rotated one notch clockwise it required a real "pullback" with the foot...

I bought a second set of REAR footpegs & put them on the front.....that lowered the height by about 12mm.Repositioning the shifter down 1 notch was WAY too far to make it comfortably usable so i bought a cheap 2nd hand shifter & bent it.The original i'll keep just incase i wanna go back to stock..........everything works perfect.
