I just saw this video and immediately thought of using it on the boots I wear on my bike. My boots use laces and I am usually concerned that they will get caught in the moving parts. I'm thinking of ordering a pair just to see how they work.

the gizmos do look interesting.... give us a report when you field trial them? ...
my ride boots have zip sides ... laces too but they are mostly held tight by a leather cross panel
good for the bush boots though!
Thank you Janx101, thank you! I had the same thought when I clicked this and was not disappointed. :woohoo:
Now to convince the girlfriend she needs to get a pair of those nice black gizmos and wear them on the bike! While I take photos!
Oh, shoe laces. Hmm. Yeah I tuck mine in the top of my boot. Can't watch the video at the moment, at work, will watch when I get home.
You want the GSXR forum - down the hall and make a left and fall off the edge of sanity, and you'd be about there.
Cool.
Buddha.
I always shove the lace under the tongue when I ride. Go ahead - go nuts with that.
I also always tuck my laces in. But today, one got out. :icon_eek:
To the OP: in my experience, it's not the danger of getting caught in moving parts. It's getting caught on the non-moving parts when you need to put a foot on the ground.

I agree; most of my laces are the regular thin style. I think a chain/sprocket would make quick work of one of those laces and rip it before your foot even moved much. The thick, cord style laces do scare me, though. And getting any lace stuck or wedged could also be bad.
