So, my sister's car broke down (dumped all the oil on the side of the road, haven't taken a good look at it yet to see what happened. Maybe spun bearing and bad rear-main, could be a thrown rod). I had to give her my Cherokee so I've been on the Suzuki for the last few days... Through the rain and cold... Today I rode to work and back in 40°F weather with no sun and mild wind. It sucks, but I don't mind it all that much.
To keep my mind off the cold, I thought of a short poem about my motorcycle :laugh:
I love my bike, it's good to me, reliable and sweet.
I ride it as much as I can, the feeling can't be beat.
In summertime it is a blast, and I don't mind the bugs,
And in winter when it get's cold the engine gives great hugs!

When it's cold out and your hands start getting numb do this. Relax, imagine a warm red glow of heat moving our of your torso into your arms and down to your fingers. Repeat several times. The trick is you must keep your attention on the warm glow as it moves all the way down to your fingers (don't zone-out and crash while you do this). I don't know how but it does work. I do it all the time and my hands actually start to feel warm. I ride all winter freezing temps.
Eh! ... I been doing that trick too for long time!! :thumb: ... Great for also heating the feet in bed during winter! ..
Also a variant when I'm sore and achey from like a huge day on trucks or flu ... Imagine that glow but as a energy wave that flows like gentle ripples from the centre...

Yeah, I would do that in marching band. Lucky us on the drum line never got to wear gloves when it started to get cold out, and you can't keep your hands moving when lined up to march out on the field. Next best thing? Will them to be warm!
