Title: Broke bolt after clutch cover gasket replacement
Post by: geS500 on October 20, 2013, 12:22:07 PM
Any suggestions on what todo?
Is there anyway I could seal it off to keep oil from coming out?
I was thinking maybe JB Weld to seal the broken bolt in.

Hard to see which bolt has broken?

If it's just one of those little guys that holds the outer cover on, you should be fine. The pickup rotor doesn't get oiled. You'll probably want to replace it anyway, but it's not going to leak oil post the rotor.

Sorry I didn't specify which bolt.

Oh wow. That looked like a clear hole at first. JB Weld might work, but it would probably be safer to try to extract it, if possible. You can probably pick up a replacement at your local hardware store. I imagine JB would just make even more of a headache if you ever need to get in there again.
