Yeah, you can see in slo-mo where the chain had came off. Guess maybe it got caught and caused the high side?

I'm thinking more he had no engine braking for the corner and panic locked the rear when he realized he was goin to quick for the bend.

Ummm.... Did the chain actually break? ... It looks pretty entire and snugged up into the frame....

Maybe just me... I'm thinking the front sprocket came off instead?

If you look just before the bike leaves the road onto the sand a little part seems to be rolling behind the bike, looks like a front sprocket to me.......

The description states that there was about 5 in of play in the chain.

When he pushed it over from a right turn to left, it looks like the momentum change resulted in a rapid unloading then full compression of the rear shock; resulting in the chain jumping from the sprocket.

As for the actual highside, he initiated the braking while in a lean then obviously panicked when the rear end locked.  He may have been able to save it by easing off the brakes or at least put it in a lowside, but he turned the bars to the right leading to the flip.

I think Janx101 and bmf are right. I sure looks like a sprocket rolling along the road.

Video description states that the fairing was duct taped together and ridden from the scene.
