A couple of my cam caps have very suss threads (the threads into which the cam cover bolts go).
Has anyone used helicoils or similar thread inserts to repair these? There's not a lot of material around there and it wouldn't pay to weaken them. Any other solutions?
No bites on this?
Heli-coils have been used. Also threaded inserts.
