Title: WTB: Short Kickstand
Post by: gsatterw on October 30, 2013, 04:40:15 PM
Hey guys, I bought a cbr600rr a couple months back and am now rigging the gs500 to teach my girlfriend how to ride. yay!

Anyways, she is sort of 5' tall so I slapped some lowering links on it. Now the kickstand is much too long. Does anyone have a shortened one on hand that they could sell me? I don't want to cut it and weld it in case I end up putting the stock bones back on it.

Thanks

Graham  :2guns:

I've got one sitting on the bench out in the shop. It was cut, a small piece taken out, a center rod added for extra strength, welded, grinded smooth, then powder coated black. I had it on my GS with my lowering links at one point.

Make a reasonable offer and it's yours

Sure. No problem. Should be between 8-10 to ship usps priority. PM me your address so I can get an accurate cost for you.

On a side note, I put lowering links on my GSXR 1000 today and cut my kickstand a half inch and welded it back together. Not hard and you can't tell it was ever cut

I used a MIG welded. Nothing special but some basic welding experience is needed.
