I need a set of camshaft caps which are unworn and have good, undamaged camcover threads.

The journal caps? I just sold a set to a user a little while back. You may have to wait a while for another set to pop up. In another thread it was determined that the caps are machined specific to the cylinder head so they only get separated when someone happens to have a head that is beyond repair. The reliability of swapping caps is also unknown (although it's been done before). Good luck and I hope something pops up for you!
THX mate, sure you're right. Just hoping to get a decent set to replace mine which have stripped threads. They're probably line-bored in situ at the factory eh.
Probably with judicious scraping and grinding (like we used to do with 'white metal' bearings) it would be possible to get another set pretty right, as long as you're starting with unworn ones.
Probably end up Helicoiling my ones if nothing else turns up.

Fix yours, no more issues. They're bored as a set.
