Title: Still prob
Post by: JBix on January 24, 2004, 10:25:10 PM
Hey all, I posted a while ago about carb problems.  I ran some carb cleaner through it and that helped, but now it idles really high.  I even have the adjustment screw almost all the way out just to try and keep it at like 2k.  And I have to turn it in to get it to start and idle earlier.  the warmer it gets the higher it tries to idle and the farther I have to screw out the mixture.  Any ideas?

Help is appreciated.

Check the choke mechanism on the carbs. It's acting like when you first start the bike with the choke on. As it warms up the idle raises and you back off the choke to lower the idle (under normal conditions).
If that don't work, then I'd take the carbs apart and clean them up.

This is totally off the subject (sorry Jbix)  but this question goes to seshadri...I was wondering how are your bars compared to the suburban-machinery ones, I want something pretty aggressive, and to be more over the tank, but those SM bars are so dang expensive!  Thanks
