Title: Marc Marquez - New World Champion
Post by: GS500F2004 on November 10, 2013, 06:53:27 AM
So, the leader of the new cream of the crop.

Incredible race, haven't seen such racing in MotoGP in many years, not since the old 2-stroke 500cc days me thinks. Lorenzo I think is still a far better rider, such confidence in his riding ability to pull of such tactics in a race and still keep 1st place, but to no avail.

I think it's time for Rossi to go, he ain't coming 1st, and he can't help his team mate.

Thoughts?

I think this will make it interesting for next year. I think Marquez has lifted Lorenzo's game so to speak in a few of those final races. It would been interesting to see how the season went if Lorenzo had not been injured. Fingers crossed we get to see an injury free season next year. That final race at Valencia really changed my view of Lorenzo as a motorcycle rider. I loved the way he controlled the race from start to finish.

As for Rossi, he should have retired after the race in Sepang where Marco Simoncelli died. He won't win anymore championships and all he is now is a marketing tool. I think he should either start his own team and go into a mentoring roll or move on to WSBs where he would win races.

Defending a championship is harder than winning one. Looking forward to what Marquez brings in 2014.
