Post by: roadracejoe on November 13, 2013, 06:08:14 PM

At first I thought about giving it a racer look, but soon decided to do a complete nut & bolt restoration job, so here goes !!

http://imageshack.us/a/img845/8242/8dfy.jpg tail is from a GP Pitbike, but ive since ditched that in favour of putting it back to standard as all the parts were with it and in good shape. This bike has stood for 13 years !! so first job was to see if it would run.

http://imageshack.us/a/img7/5757/ihnv.jpg and so the teardown begins. I,d decided to powdercoat the frame satin black as I reckon this will look much better than the rusty silver it was.

http://imageshack.us/a/img713/2184/j5kr.jpg so at the minute, this is where im up to. Im trying to decide which colour to paint the wheels, engine casings, rocker cover, heelguards and headlight brackets. Im thinking gunmetal would maybe look good? any suggestions?

I think that would look quite nice.
