Title: Wish the GS had one of these
Post by: weedahoe on November 15, 2013, 07:01:52 PM
New K&P billet oil filter for my bike. Cheap? No.

About $140 new. But with K&N disposables at a normal local price of 13-15, you can see where this will save money in the long run

Check them out here

Hmmmmm daddy likes. looks sturdy. I might be able to reconfigure one into an armoured air filter for the minipig.

Pretty nice, and an interesting concept.

I'd always be sure to get a flashlight in there to see if there are any residual particles staying behind. I'll try to find more review information on their effectiveness before pulling the trigger on something like this. Not so much to save money, but just in terms of actual cleanliness after every oil change. I'd imagine you have to wash it out with acetone or something, not water, correct? Or something that the crankcase wouldn't mind swimming around, like Seafoam, maybe.

Let us know how it goes after the first oil change.

K & P Engineering have been is business for a long time. A lot of guys who race and drag seem to use these because they get better oil pressure with them. From what I uunderstand, people are using carb cleaners or purple power to clean them out
