Since I've got my bike apart and its 11 years old, I checked out the condition of the fuel hoses and noticed they are getting a bit weathered.
Most of the lines look like relatively straight lengths of hose, with two of them held into a curved shape with a plastic sleeve.
But the "reserve" hose looks like it has a pre-fab bend in it just below where it connects to the petcock.
Can I use generic fuel line hose (properly sized of course) from my local repair shop to replace these? Even the "reserve" one with the bend, or will it crimp and be blocked?
Thanks.
You bet!
From memory, I think Mr Suzuki's manual says change em every four years, so 11 years is a good shout.
If you get new fuel lines you should also take the time to install an inline fuel filter.

that bend is just from having been kinked like that for 10 years.
any ol cheap fuel line will do.
