Title: Alarm suggestions for GS500's ?
Post by: adidasguy on January 05, 2014, 02:24:19 AM
Any suggestions. I think HUHSKY should have one. I'm sure a Huskies fan would want to sit on him for pictures OR a Cougar fan from Wastern Washington might want to do harm.
What have you used as a noise maker when someone farkles with your bike?

Ignitor M1 .. Aussie product ... 'Up the road' from me .... 2 wire hookup .. Very battery friendly ... Plenty of noise that really messes with the inner ear .... Fairly small size... Simple arm/disarm process ... Sensitive enough to stop people moving the bike ... But not so sensitive that a sparrow sitting on the bars will set it off ...

Mounted mine on/under the little cross plate bit in the tail .. Just under the seat....

It did start shrieking one night on very heavy wind .... But the gusts were over 60MPH ish ... Converted already for ya!

Saw this the other day http://www.xtremperformance.com/products/uninversal-remote-control-alarm-very-easy-to-install.html

Cheap as, needs a fob. Get what you pay for?  :dunno_black:

With the Ignitor, I was told that as it's an ignition controlled device, if the ignition can be forced into the on position, the alarm will be deactivated. They used to have a video up on youtube showing how to arm/disarm etc., but it seems to be gone now  :dunno_black:

But I have seen the ignitor in action. Saw someone go to sit on a bike. Started chirping and they got off real quick  :icon_mrgreen: :thumb:
