Just got my new label. In the envelope was a note from the Transport Dept. It says..
Registration labels will be a thing of the past. As part of the Qld govt's commitment to reducing red tap, from 1 October 2014, you will no longer receive or have to attach a registration label to your vehicle (light vehicles not over 4.5 tonne gross vehicle mass).
You'll keep getting labels up to Sep 30 and will need to display them. After this date you will no longer require a label to be attached to your vehicle. BUT you still need to pay rego as per normal.
yep .. same as NSW last year .... good in some ways .... but if your memory is like mine sometimes... you could always look at the label to remind yourself how long till rego ... not now! ... just have to hope you remember to rego ... or at least 'where the bloody hell did i put that renewal notice?!?!? .. was it next week or last week?!?!? :icon_rolleyes: "
My insurance is due when rego is...
cool!! .. so do what i do.... when the no label thing comes in... put the greenslip, rego and insurance all in one handy envelope .. saves space too! ... and put them in the ..... drawer? ... im sure i put it in the drawer! ... ... no ... ok .. maybe in the letter holder on the desk... no .... little table beside the lounge no...... etc etc etc for an hour .... ok.... maybe in the fridge!! .. no .... maybe under the mower fuel can in the garden shed? ... no ....
;) :icon_lol: :thumb:
Well, at least they are in a safe place where no thief will get them :thumb:
