Got the clymer manual in the mail today, trying to install the centerstand-- i realize i need a few more pieces!
Does anyone have any aftermarket solutions for return springs, I'll need an inner and and outer spring, not sure what length.
Center stand needs:
1. center stand 42100-01d00
2. Two bushings 09180-10040
3. Two bolts 09117-10050
4. Two cotter pins as the bolts should have holes for them so they don't come out ( any will do but the real OEM part number is 09385-10001)
5. Two springs with one inside the other 09443-14059 and 09443-22013
6. Muffler needs the rubber bumper to keep it from going up too high 09321-10017
Note: muffler interferes with the right side center stand bolt. Muffler has to be dropped to install center stand.
I have plenty of the correct springs. I can mail some to you.
And for those that don't know, regarding side stands,
The older longer one works just fine on the 2001+ frames. I use them on my builds. The shorter one makes the bike lean too much. I guess if you lower your bike, use the newer side stand since it is shorter.
The springs for the new and old side stand are different lengths. I recall older springs are shorter so if your old side stand flops a little, it might have the newer springs which are longer put on by mistake.

I've used bikebandit.com and cheapcycleparts.com oftentimes one is a bit less expensive than the other.
Faster if you give me your address and I drop them in the mail tomorrow.
I'm kind of a parts-whore aka parts-house for the board.
If you need the bushings, I think I'm out of them at the moment but can take a look.
Bolts I have if you need them.
not sure if PMing is working, but i sent my address
You gave address but no name :dunno_black:
I'm off the board when out riding. Stopped home now going riding to the gym.
