Any opinions on either of these full exhausts?

Depends. Do you like the idea of spending $350 or $450? Neither one will make your GS500 into a powerhouse and they both sound pretty similar.
There's also the Vance & Hines full exhaust.
Or if a buddy gives you a muffler with exhaust; order some stock headers from adidasguy, swedge the pipes to fit snug, coat with VHT, and install.
I have no idea about Jardine but I have fitted a Delkevic 350mm inc the down pipes.
I don't yet know about any power increase that will be determined after:-
Compression test - to find out if the valve seats are OK as I have an exhaust valve at no clearance !!!
Valve shimming. I will grind down the originals on a horizontal grinder much cheaper than replacement.
Carb clean
Re Jet and needle lift
Carb Balance
Then I will respond with an idea about performance vs standard but not Jardine.
Very nice deep tone from the Delkevic and the quality of welding on the exhaust is first class.
Ive found a full delkevic for 300 and full jardine for 374 I'm not expecting a noticeable gain in power but the guy i bought the bike from Layed it down and scrapped the exhaust bad so id rather just put aftermarket on there is low miles on the bike I'll have it for a long time
I'm running the Delkevic SS70 full system.
YES you can change the oil filter without dropping the headers.
NO you cannot retain the same position of the center stand when it is in the "up" position. In other words, the bumper where the center stand rests is about an inch higher on this exhaust system than the stock.
NO you cannot leave your rear brake pedal unmodified. I had to adjust mine to have 0 slack on initial press so that the arm would stop hitting the exhaust pipe.
Although the SS70 is a bit louder than I would like, it sounds nice and aggressive.
I'm looking into a Jardine system now apparently there's an issue they have them all in storage and cant get themselves organized to ship them out or some such I'm waiting for a reply now from them............ if not ill have to fine somewhere that'll bring a full delkevic system to aus or get a custom made
either way its much of a muchness and down to preference your not going to see any gains in power maybe some torque, but its all for looks and sounds
Jardine are on ebay.

V&H is all over the place as low as $297 with free shipping.
JUNIOR has a V&H and Zak got one for his project. People do like the V&H. You can insert a Jardine silencer into a V&H and it sounds great (not quite so deafening)

Good spot, addy. I had just looked on the bay a few days ago for one and hadn't seen any. Looks like that seller is a parts guy. So he probably only has one.
Adidasguy, did you ever get that piece jardine was supposed to send you if they could locate it? Can't remember if it was a silencer, or a bracket maybe... this was maybe 6 months back when you had originally shared with the forum that problem with getting jardine parts... but I don't recall seeing an outcome to that.

E-bay item is sold
didn't last long
Egonomics, Handling, Weight, Power. In that order.
I wouldn't even consider installing an exhaust until I had setup the ergos and suspension.
I dont have any complaints on handling or ergonomics so far but thanks for the advice. And i dont consider exhaust a power gain its for looks and sound for me
Heads up on the Jardine exhausts. I actually emailed them late last year about not being able to find an exhaust for a GS500 anywhere. It turns out Jardine actually got bought out in late 2012 and the new parent company moved everything to Ohio. There was a lapse in production during the move and they're prioritizing production of the more popular exhaust systems first. They did not give me an ETA on when the GS500 systems would be hitting the market again.
this is an email I got from the Jardine contact page 2 days ago

I used Delkevic on an SV in the past, and loved the sound look and price.
Just ordered the 13" oval can for my new GS. $177 shipped on their site. Their eBay story wanted $179, but I'm no sucker :)
