Title: Part numbers for blue tail?
Post by: dinkydonuts on February 04, 2014, 10:14:31 AM
Just for kicks I'd like to one day swap my white tail plastic for blue so the bike will match.  I haven't had any luck on eBay so I can at least see if any dealers are willing to throw me a bone and make it affordable.

Anyone know the part numbers? The dang Suzuki microfiche doesn't indicate colors.

Color cods are the extra 3 letters/numbers after the part number.
There are many blues. One needs to know the year to get the right one.

Also note that for certain model years they didn't have all the plastics the same color.  For example, in 09 the blue/white model had blue upper cowl plastics with white lower cowl and tail; the gray/black model had gray upper and lower cowl and a black tail.

Examples:

Like this: for 2009 there was a white tail and a black one:

COVER,FRAME,R  (FOR CWH)   47111-01DA0-YBD   <---  Suzuki YBD Pearl Splash White

COVER,FRAME RH(  (FOR BPK)  47111-01DA0-YAY  <--- Suzuki YAY Pearl Nebular Black

They must have run out of white tail centers:
COVER,FRAME CEN  (GS500F FOR CWH)  47311-01DA0-0JW (replaces 47311-01DA0-YBD)  <--- Suzuki OJW Pearl Still White
