Title: Headlight conversion
Post by: Merc110 on February 05, 2014, 06:02:59 PM
Taking the front fairing and headlight/bracket off my F model and was wondering if a headlight and bracket from an E model will fit the F bike..or will I need an aftermarket headlight bracket?

Bikes are the same up there in the front so the "E" will fit just fine.
Outside the USA the 2004+ "F" model was/is sold naked as an "E" 2004+. Same bike, just no fairing and the "E" headlight.
The bike we built called FRANK is a 2006 frame with "E" headlight from the git go.

Interestingly for the 2004+ bikebandit etc have the E headlight and housing available for the GS500F even so it wasn't offered as an E model in the US.  So basically for the US they only offered the F but you could buy the parts to turn it into an E; while in other markets both the E and F were sold.
