Interesting. I kind of like it... drag bars and a different head light and I'm there:

I saw that bike when the owner posted it on the GSResources. Sharp bike. Hope he got a pretty penny for it.

Winning bid 1925.00 british pounds ($3,220.72)

No way he got but a sliver of what he put into it. But that is usually the case with one-offs and GS twins have never commanded the prices the big fours get.

Too bad, there's much to like there.

Hi all just trawling these forums which i haven't done for a while and i noticed this post ... i originally built this bike and i was very proud of it i sold it to the guy in southhampton i got £1500 for it which just about made back what i spent on it but not labour obviously, i'm lucky as i am a fabricator /welder and managed to do 90 % of the work myself even the upholstery and wiring and the paint job which was from a rattle can, but came out fantastic although i say myself it looked like a pro paint job . It was a great experience doing it and learned alot on the way, it was a real head turner (probably because it was loud lol)
It was originally a gs 450 but the oil pump failed and kaput the head so fitted 500 engine , really good nippy and handled well even with them tyres , put a lot of sunday afternoon sports bike riders in their place in the corners. would love to hear from whoever owns her now ..... cheers Nige.
