Title: Last day as a gs500e owner
Post by: aaronmact on February 25, 2014, 11:54:25 PM
Well everyone this may very well mark my last day as a gs500 owner.  As sad as I am to see her go Im also glad to get rid of her. I should have a guy buying her today for 800 (less then I wanted but I need the money and she has no title). I can honestly say Im glad to have started with the gs500. Especially as a project. Having to build her from the ground up as taught me many lessons on bikes and how to work on them. So much that they are helping me get my next bike for a steal. ;) The gs taught me the problem with the next bike can be fixed with just 4 dollars haha. Anyways. If all goes well I should be keeping it in the suzuki family. In fact the same year as my bike too. Just a bit stronger  :thumb: I just wanted to thank you all for how friendly youve been and how much you helped me with my bike and get me to where I am today. If all goes well Ill be checking in with a new bike. Until then my friends.

Well I may just be hangin on to her for a bit after all. Everyone bails on the deals or tries to low ball the hell out of me and Im tired of dealing with idiots. One gs500 owner from Baltimore saved me a ton of money and helped me out big time once so I decided to pay it forward and tell the guy whos bike I was gunna buy exactly how to fix his problem for 4 bucks. Plus it seems the gs owners are smarter and more charismatic then the gsxf owners :P

I think I hit you up on this one a while back, and I was most likely one of the lowballers haha..

You're in a bit of a tough spot with an untitled moto.. Really spooks a lot of people off. Do you know what happened to the title? There are ways to obtain titles through DMV for untitled vehicles. You best bet to recoup your investment is to brave the DMV and attempt to title. I've successfully done it in VA before, shoot me a PM if you have any questions on the process

You may have been. Haha I doubt you wrote offering me 300 bucks for it like one guy did. Or a bed. :p and I have a way to get a title. It'll cost me 140

Nah I think I offered a broken john deere lawn tractor haha.. just kidding

$140 to title is steep! I think I ended up with no more than $50 to get my 06 gsF frame titled. $25 to initiate the process, cost to send a certified letter with return receipt, and then the final titling fees. After a few waiting periods I had a full clean/clear title in hand.

Well I have to do a reconstructed vehicle and get a new vin made for it. Cause this bike was the one who fired the shot on the grass knoll. I kid you not.
