I have been having problems with my indicators sometimes working, sometimes not.
So i removed the indicator relay box today and jumpered the plug, just for some tests.
When selecting the left indicators they light up and stay on continuously (what i expected), but as soon as i flip the indicator switch to the right indicators the fuse blows (i didn't expect this, i was expecting a continuous light like the left).
So now i'm wondering if the issue is really the indicator relay or something more serious? and if i attach a new indicator relay am i going to damage it?
Would love any advice on this as i'm quite lost with electrical issues.
Thanks
Also just for note the bulbs are 12V-10W.
Sounds like your shorting out on your right side circuit.
Could be something as small as damaged wire insulation allowing the bare wire to make contact with the frame

Thanks crasm.
So i should look at the right hand wiring for the indicators? or is the right hand wiring circuit including other sections of wiring?
What you have done to test them is fine and yes the left indicatir should stay on with the relay
Removed and like wise for the right indicator
The relay is just an automatic switch nuthing major
The only reason for the fuse to pop is a dead short , just trace the wires looking for breaks
Its simple buddy
