Title: SV650 lever compatability
Post by: gsatterw on March 04, 2014, 04:10:38 PM
Hi all. This may be common knowledge, but in case it isn't, the brake lever for the SV650 (all years) is a direct swap to the gs500 (also all years). In addition, the clutch lever perch from an SV650 can be swapped to the gs500 and then you can use SV650 clutch levers.

If you have the 89 clip ons the clutch perch makes it a pretty tight squeeze in terms of gauges, but it still fits.

I did this swap because I am adapting the gs500 for my very short, small handed girl friend so she can learn to ride and I needed some adjustable levers for her.

Just thought I'd throw it out there for the record.

Awesome info! Saved me a lot of searching and asking questions. I was just thinking of this about an hour ago as I noticed there aren't any decent options for levers for the GS.
