Title: gsx 400
Post by: gsnino on March 17, 2014, 06:36:22 AM
Hi all, need a bit of help with a new project, just starting to rebuild a 1982 gsx 400 twin
and thinking of a little cafe racer. Anyone know how to remove the clutch cover? I need to
check all is well before I start. All the screws have come out but I cannot move it. Do I need
to remove the points and back plate as well?

Cheers

Welcome to the site Nino!

I should point out another forum though - the GSResources. While the Twins site is a great source of info, the folks over on the GSResources know every nut and bolt on your GSX. A member there by the screen name Basscliff has collected a ton of information on all older GS bikes, and a member by the name Mekanix has done extensive engine work to a bike similar / identical to yours.

Sucess, after finding a utube clip from one of your members in Australia, cover off
simple after watching that clip, no mention of how to do in the manual.

Thanks Mate
