Title: curious if anyone has tried these gauges
Post by: rexpepper651 on March 29, 2014, 06:11:16 AM
so i was looking around this morning before my work opened the idiot flood gates and came across some extremely cheap digital gauges. they are so cheap i just dont understand. under 100 dollars. im debating if i wish to change mine out with something new or try and find a replacement tach.(my speedo works fine tach not so much) im guessing these are going to be crap tho lol.

heres a few examples.

They are all basically knock off Koso clones. Chances are they will work fine, but it all depends on how well they are wired and labelled, that will determine how bad it is to install.

Soloratov nailed it about the wiring. If you buy them, expect to spend some extra time on the wiring and installation instructions. It's not that it is all in Chinese, but the directions will be in broken English......

broken English.............shattered English more likely.

Actually I just bought this one today

Notice it has a light for neutral that way I can get rid of the whole cluster of gauges and lights on the bike

Can it hold up to rain, though?

i was thinking about getting one of those cheap kosos haha, im decent at wiring (trial and error) and i feel theyll look alot better and modern than the standard analouge clocks, just wanna know others reviews about it haha, eg quality, setup etc :)

I installed the 3rd one last season, works great so far!

Don't have any pics handy since my install was temporary as I did a gsxr front end swap at the same time.

That's the exact one I ordered because the redline is 10k

The one for the lower link was installed on a buddy of mine Honda 450 enduro.
he has rode in the rain plus we took it through some trails and it held up to the water and trail riding

The thing looks so Fugly ... the original guages of a GS .... Y'know they are like the GS's boobies. Almost any mod to them looks stupid.

Cool.
