Title: exhaust advice?
Post by: dowdy80 on April 01, 2014, 02:53:10 PM
hey guys im looking at getting a new exhaust for the GS, and i've been looking at a delkevic Exhaust, just wanna ask a few questions, has anyone here used one?
are they decent exhausts?
would i need to buy a down pipe to fit or could i chop my original pipe and slip it on with a clamp?
heres what i was looking at

I don't have much experience with exhaust but I do know this. You put that on your bike you'll need to rejet if you haven't already and it's going to be loud. Now that sounds great to some folks but having to listen to it on a long trip will get very irritating. Good luck though.

Hey man. A while ago some guy was installing one of these on his bike i think on youtube, looked amazing and sounded mean. I would suggest it just based off that experience, I have no real experience with the quality however. Heres the video I am referring to. Just the sound clip though, somewhere he has a vid of the install.

Good luck.

Good choice man. Delkevic is not a bad brand in my opinion.

yeah i think itll be a pretty decent exhaust in all honesty, not heard much complaints about them appart from fitting if you dont buy the full system, but i think the open stubbys look sexy as Buddha ;)
