I finally got my BT-45V 140/80 rear installed. I intended to take before pics as well, but I suppose it's fairly easy to reference the stock size.
So, for future reference:

I think it looks weird in the picture, but quite fine in person. We'll see how she feels after I get through finishing a brake bleed...
Can't see nothin.
Pics not workin bud
Fixed.
Lesson learned: OneDrive/Skydrive does not appear to be a viable place to host forum pics.
It is but its not as simple (at first) as using photobucket, or imgur, or similar host site... weedahoe, one of the admins, uses skydrive for all his pics and posts them up here all the time. You can pm him, or find one of his threads with pics and see how he does it.

I liked the 140/80 size on my GSs because that size tire is made for a 3.5" wheel so it will have a good shape, will raise the rear about 3/4" quickening the steering, and oversize tires with a greater load rating last longer. Nice pics.
A 150/70 made for a 4.0" wheel will be reduced to about 145 mm wide when installed on our 3.5" rear wheels and won't look much wider than that 140. A pic of a couple of my 150/70 size tires on stock wheel:

If you want wider just move up closer with the camera, same 150/70 RoadAttack:

I think you'll like that 140/80 when you ride it. :thumb:
Is the 140 a straight fit ?? Does the swing arm or brake arm need modifying??
I need to replace my back tyre at some point and was thinkin if goin for a 140 myself
Yep. :thumb:
Nope/nope. :woohoo:

Yeah. I lucked out and found this one on sale for a really good price. I did the math and didn't see any advantage to going with the 150. I was more interested in the taller profile and tougher hide.
Did you notice much difference in highway buzz, Jack?
