Title: Goodbye GS500F, Hello GSF1250S
Post by: ausgs on April 07, 2014, 03:47:06 AM
I have ridden a heap of new and used bikes lately looking for a upgrade.
Finally after riding a 2008 GSF1250S Bandit I found a bike that fits what I'm looking for
Heaps of super smooth easy to use power, good riding position but seat is poor compared to the GS but it came with a AirHawk and a sheepskin cover
On the freeway sits under 4,000rpm and has tons of power in 6th gear for overtaking
Rode 300km's today about 180 miles, except for sore arse all was good
Will be hitting the twisties in a day or 2 so we will see how it performs
Overall,very happy with it

it was $6,000 at a dealer, they gave me 4K for the GS so it worked out pretty good for me
it has a few light scratches from maybe a tank bag but I should be able to remove them
has been dropped on r/h side and scrapped paint on fairing but I can get that repaired easily enough, otherwise it's great

Nice Bandit!

The mirrors look identical to the ones on a GS500F.
