So I have a yoshi slip on and it sounds pretty nice and loud enough. I made 3 changes to the bike. I changed the main jet from a 142.5 to a 145. I changed out 3 shims to put them at .08 and finallyi took out the pair and plugged the 3 hoses. Afterwards my exhaust sounded more like stock. Any ideas why?
When I removed the Pair from my GSX650F it altered it's sound, I would put my money on the Pair being the thing that changed the sound. In my case it made the bike sound like I had racing cams?? After I got the fuel map altered on a chassis dyno the sound went back to stock sounding :dunno_black:
Yeah, my money is on the Pair system... it tends to add pop in the sound of the exhaust, especially notable on decel with aftermarket exhausts (different than popping from leanness) - some remove the Pair system to get rid of that when they have an aftermarket exhaust...

I put the pair back in and it sounds good again. I'll just keep it in
