has anyone compared the sound of the full yosh exhuast to the full vance and hines system.
which is louder?
more performance?
size/wieght?
cooler looking?
i have the yosh (thanks kevinC) i was just curious. see my dad has a harley and when were both riding down the road or just idleing you can barely here my bike. unless i crank the throttle.
V&H is louder at idle and mid RPM...yosh is quiter at ide but has a nice soud through the RPMs
download this video of V&H and compare to yours

The Yosh will give you 1 to 2 more horsepower than the V&H, but the V&H sounds better IMO. The V&H is more throaty, while the Yosh is a little poppy like bubbles on idle.
If you want loud, I'm getting ready to take the 2into2 straight piped exhaust off of my gs450ld(it might fit the 500, I don't know), and put a used factory 2into2 on. If your interested, I'll sell the straight pipes cheap and you pay shipping. From what I've seen on bikes over the past couple of years, the V&H seems to be more common, but the Y. seems to show up on the more realistic and better prepared bikes.

how much. i want loud to but i dont want to ork out 200 bucks for a yosh or V&H. i got a cobra f1r but i can bearly hear mine over my dads honda shadow spirit 1100. he cut the baffles out and it is much louder than stock. but i might be interested depending on price.
96gs, if you want your gs to sold close to your dad's ride, the only thing you can do to get it close is to remove the can and run a straight pipe...
or you can punch&drill the stocker, but be forwarned, you can only do that once. there is info here on the site about it somewhere :thumb:
15-20 bucks plus shipping from 29418  .
