Title: Anyone near Chicago?
Post by: GS Fan on April 19, 2014, 04:09:03 PM
My name is Matthew.
I'm a new rider from the suburbs.
Bought my first bike as a 2001 GS500 and loving it.
Haven't seen another GS out here since I started looking for bikes.

Hi Matthew. Came to the right forum if you own a GS. Nice starter bike and even nicer once you decide to modify.  I own 2. Both currently out of commission but soon hitting the road again. I'm in the Chicagoland area also.

Unfortunately Bombsquad 83 you are a little over an hour from me.
On the rare occasion I visit friends at ISU I bring the car.

Jar75 thank you I appreciate it.
I'm about 40 minutes west of Chicago directly off 290.
When your back in commission I'd love to see one.
Haven't seen another GS500 in person since I bought it.

Definitely! It's always good to have riding partners. Right now I'm working on a Honda CB360 restoration.

I'm in the Palos area, about 20-30 minutes south of downtown Chicago.

I'll totally ride with you, if only my bike was working

To be a little more exact with me, Ohare area. Currently have 2 titled non-running GS', 1 complete lost title search in the works , 1 1/2 parts GS'. Possibly another somewhat running/lost titled bike tomorrow. I guess when you can buy them for spare change it becomes a mental sickness.( along with all my " other brand" projects.
