how 'funny'!

I was working on my bike today and noticed that the little plastic window doesn't look that great. I started poking around with a screwdriver until I realized that the window is actually falling apart. Before it started leaking I covered it with silicone sealant. I was about to ask around what to do with it. It can probably be replaced easily, but I'm not sure....

Have you done that to your bike?

Just ordered them because we have a pile of good reservoirs with bad windows in our parts stash.

Do you know how much a new master break cyclinder would be?

The reason I ask is it sounds like it's hard to replace. Also how hard is it to remove the master cylinder?

I have not performed the job of replaceing the sight glass, but I would Imagen on a cold or rainy night any one can do with with in an hour with a beer or two.

Should only take a few moments to remove the mast cylinder, 2 screws on top remove the fluid, remove the banjo bolt connecting it to the hose, and 2 x6 or 8MM bolts to hold it on the bars.

Install is just the opposite, except you will need to bleed the master before you connect the hose.

Cheers. I just need to decide which way to go. I guess if it's replaced with glass that is not made for it then there is a chance it could leak

The sight glass is under very little pressure, if replaced correctly it won't leak! All the pressure is pushed down the hose if any thing there is a slight vacuum

A video walk through would be great and should be put in the video section as it sounds like a few people will need to do this.

Thanks :)

Haha. Yeah might have to give my sister $5 to follow me with a camera. I won't get her to do make up though.
