Title: Haynes manual - 2009+
Post by: Kirks on April 26, 2014, 04:07:51 PM
Hi guys, I was looking for a Haynes manual and found that for the gs500 it only goes up to 2008. Is this an issue for bikes released after that year? Mines a 2009 so I can't imagine it's much different, just want to make sure before I buy it though.

Also, as a new owner I'm a bit confused, are the owners manual, service/shop manual and Haynes manual all different? As in, do I need to get all three? Or is the owners manual the same as the service manual?

Owners manual usually comes with the bike, suzuki shop manual    Is what the dealer service techs have and is usually not DIY friendly as Haynes. The Haynes will be fine for your basic needs nothing major has changed between the years

There are maybe only a few slight changes for the 2009; later model years sold outside the US are the 2009 design.
