Title: Trip meter knob broken. Anyway to fix this?
Post by: Speedfreak14 on April 27, 2014, 10:50:02 PM
Hello when i got my bike i noticed the trip meter knob was missing on the bike. I would really like to use my trip meter and hope there would be some sorta fix or if i jus need to shove something into the knob location to reset it every time. But idk if its a twist one to reset it. I have seen the knob and it looks like a twist with all the ridges on the knob head. I dont wanna have to replace the whole speedo to fix it but i guess if that the only way to do it it may have to be an option =/ any help would be greatly appreciated.

A plastic tube with a small screw to lock the wheel. Good luck to invent your own!

Get a new knob and screw from a dealer for about $6 or so for both.  Shaft down in there has little flats to turn by knob and knob has hole down thru it for little jewelers size screwdriver to tighten screw.
