His partner apparently passed away in 2009.  This gives a little more insight into why he lived alone for the time we all knew him.  He had such a big heart to help out those around him that shared his passion for motorcycling.

I really hope someone is taking care of his cats, and his estate with the same love and care that he put into all of those things he surrounded himself with.

Apparently a guy wrote a book about how to sell ideas to hollywood, and included a story about when he bought a young Patrick's life story as a movie idea!

I couldn't figure out if the movie was ever made, because the book preview cut off the pertinent pages :(.

I read a quote today that made me think of Adidasguy. (Somehow it seems too personal for me to call him Patrick, considering my very limited dealings with him.)

"Too many people live their life like they have another one in the bank."

Based on what I knew of Adidasguy and what I've read in the articles since, he was not one of them. Adidasguy put it all out there, spending his time freely and fully doing the things he loved with the people (and pets) he cared for.

great great links man.

Talking to his brother last night he confirmed those stories and more.

Apparently he was a big time software guy. He was tinkering with so much of the brands new CPU stuff back in the day making his own programs that he was also in the news for that.

Here you go - I have it saved on my home computer, but this one is from cods current avatar

This is probably my favourite bike pic of all time - not just Pat pic, or GS500 pic... but favourite bike pic
I share this with friends all the time - even pops up as a screensaver from time to time and I get a chuckle every time.  Never thought it might have been weird before, for me to have and use it like that, but it doesn't seem weird now...

Edit:  This pic was a setup for addy to get in the picture game thread - one of the most epic we've had for that game I'm sure.

Hey john my friend, got a request in patricks honour. I had sent the custom title request which you granted the perfect one imho. That aside, can we pick a start day find a pic of him on a gs or  of huhsky or something, and use said picture on the splash screen. In place of the yellow gs for say a week? Would be an awesome tribute if you did. But can understand if you cannot.

braces comjing before long I promise. this was a project in the making for Patrick. a dedication at church, and a hymn. by my own poor voice. please look over the wavy mic. that or it was the waviness in media player. ( have that set a bit high for some analog recordings. idk. but forgive please.

i can carry a tune well. accd to one at a nearby studio ( amateur night) but I was on a budget so this was done as is where is. im ashamed of my voice. its a mental thing. i hate hearing myself talk lol. normally. this time though i listened 3 times. like i said, this was done for a friend i loved dearly. so i honestly didn't care. may persue lessons at some point. but for now, no. need a better mic though. the waviness kills it. but Patrick my friend this was and is, and always will be for you. ive plans for one more. a narration plus a song. but am at a block on what song to use. suggestions? and this one will be done using audition, and a better mic.

Guys this was mentally painful to me. but I realized, my editing, I cut off 2 thirds of the hymn im getting over the I hate to hear myself sing lol. but am going to remaster the production and make it right. this was for Patrick. even though it was done right by my standards, it, ( the production/edit) was done wrong, so, I will please his spirit and do it right. please forgive me EH?

Sorry it took so long for me to join in here. You all know that I bought Trey from Pat for my wife ,It's now Dora the purple Explora. . I heard about the accident from a mural friend about. 2 weeks after it happened .I had gone over to the " bike cave " to see Pat but he wasn't there and thought nothing of it.I had a pretty hard time after I got the news and I 'm finally coming around.I have the placard from the the IMS show that me and Pat had our bikes in , I never got the chance to give it back it him.I'm going to have it framed and hung in my house to remember one of the most caring and giving humans I have ever met and probably ever will.
RIP Pat my friend we will ride together again someday !!.

care to post it or was it personal?, im puttingna brace on the UW goped im going to build in his honour. Since I demanded lol thatnhe rode it when he was going to visit at the end of this month. He was looking fwd to it . Anyhoo so far in order of claim, the braces are going to
1 mike,
2 dean sargent his friend and atty.
3 jim knopf
4 members of the west sea4tle gs500 club
5 our australian friends
6 myself
ill have roughly 24 made up out of 1/2" 6061 aluminum. They will be free to 4hose that ask. Any costs incurred, im trimming my budget as far as it willngo. Only 1 requirement, that it be installed and picture raken and rode at keast once. After which youre free to remove it. This is done so patrick, GOD love him, will be going for a ride ariund the world,  if only in spirit. Mary err toogoofy317 ismgetting one also but for some reason shes not responding. Tom Mehren from sound rider was a friend of Pats and me also. When he heard about what happened he was pretty upset , but then said that the motorcycle museum would love to have his bikes to showcase local builders .
Maybe I will ride over to Zpsts house and see.

The only problem is that if there are a lot of riders his alley is a dead end and gravel.

Ahh, wish I could join you guys but I'm in Florida. It has been really hard to ride Flick this past year because just about every danged thing on 'ole boy came from Patrick. From my master cylinder, the chain guard, heel guards, LED lights, and the custom bracket for my V&H muffler (was about to message him about installation when I found out). We had planned to go riding in June of last year (he was coming to Orlando). I can't even bear to get rid of the Adidas shoes he bought for me because "I needed a good pair of work shoes".

Patrick was a great man that helped so many people out and I will never forget him
+1 to terrorizing Nazi neighbor!

OK I'll get the GS back on the road and ride on 26th. Maybe I'll ride it to Andy's place (amkluttz) ...
Or the other light smattering of sporadic posting GSTwinners ... Lopee (but he's out of this site for over a couple years ... I'll find some GSTwinner to ride to.
Cool.
