I just called my local bike shop and they want $200AU for the read disc so I thought i would get one online instead. What do you guys think about these?

The bike i have is a GS500 2004 so these all should fit.
Ebay, i live on that and Amazon lol. Good hunting
There is no excuse for what I'm about to do
MetalGear definately....i bought a discounted spare for the FRONT(another guy ordered it from a bike shop but never collected) and the quality is great.
Don't trust disks/sellers that don't give specs....especially thickness.
I bought http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/290754179094 as a cheap disc to pass roadworthy.
I don't know what state you're in, but in Vic the disc is required to have the minimum thickness stamped on it to be roadworthy (I couldn't see it on the EBC disc on the eBay listing :dunno_black:).
How do you find that disc?
Big, solid, simple. My main thoughts were: cheap enough, thick & solid (enough metal that it takes slightly longer to heat up while braking), and looks to be a better quality & has twice as much wear as those $40 discs on eBay.
It's on the bike and it works as a brake disc should. I didn't consider there enough performance or quality differences to justify the price jump up to the MetalGear, but at the same time the really cheap discs look dangerous!
this is the one I got for my katana
says compatible with the gs500, I haven't had any complaints from the disc, but there are a few others you could look up there aswell. price range between 50-200 usd
hope this helps

i amost got one of those but then i was noticing the starting thickness of the rear rotor for those cheap ones is less then min spec suggested in the gs manuals. i just went ahead an got a used one off ebay for 25 dollars with free shipping. came off a bike with 3700 miles on it.
