Title: Rear brake free play?
Post by: Meuryn on May 15, 2014, 02:50:42 PM
Hey everyone,

Quick question. Is the free play on the rear brake pedal adjustable? Mine seems to have a lot of downward movement before the rear brake is actually activated. I know you can adjust when the brake light comes on, but I'm not 100% on adjusting the actual pedal freeplay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Meuryn

Yes you can adjust the rear pedal, remove the 2 lower Allen bolts that hold the chrome cover, I will swing up out of the way exposing the rear master cylinder, there is an threaded bolt that can be adjusted just free the jam but and adjust as needed.

I the jam nut is a 12mm and the bot on the rod is a 10mm, Also the 2nd picture is taken from a spare that I have laying around so It is reversed.
