Title: lunchbox upgrade question
Post by: anoopb on May 16, 2014, 09:05:20 AM
So for the second time i had to take the carbs off and rebuild them.

The worst part of this is that stupid airbox and then getting the damn hoses connected back to the fuel valve. It's super painful to work in that tight space with the airbox there. (unless i'm doing it wrong). More than likely, i should have attached the petcock hoses before i put the airbox back in?

so i say F'it! i'm going to just pull that airbox out.

does the lunchbox with the breather k&n filter make this easier given the abundance of space?

Also, want to replace the hosts from the gas tank petcock to the fuel valve. Any recommendations?

thanks!

Yes, it is easier with the lunchbox.

I used 3 feet of 5/16" fuel line from the autoparts store.

Fwiw: that breather filter isn't really necessary. There is a filter under the crankcase vent plate on top of the motor. Another filter at the end of the hose will just stop spiders from making a nest inside your breather hose.
