Title: How to make my once-black-rims black again?
Post by: Meuryn on May 23, 2014, 02:29:31 PM
Hey everyone!

So, my rims, especially on the front, having been exposed to about 11 years of salt, grit and water have faded to an unsightly grey-ish colour. I've got a tube of stovepipe polish that works well on the downpipes, but I'm not sure that's the best thing to reblack the rims? Unfortunately I don't have the time, space or money to sand down and repaint them, so is there some kind of cheap trick / technique to getting them black and shiny again?

Thanks in advance!
Meuryn

dude you need to get with the times yo!  plasti dip them rims! rubber coating that when you get bored or damaged can be pealed off. last a long time and is durable if done correctly. here is a video!  :thumb:

Ohh, now that is tempting... think of all the pretty colours I could make them!  I'll definitely look into that!
