Title: GS500F 2005 - Front Turn Signal Wire Size
Post by: iceman86 on May 28, 2014, 12:45:28 PM
Does anyone know what is the size of the wire used for the front turn signal?

Is it 20 AWG or 22 AWG? I am trying to replace these wire as it is not long enough for my new turn signals and led turn signal mirrors.

Hey Iceman,

I have a 2004GS500F and just recently did the LED turn signals... I want to say that I used 18 awg wire for mine.

18 should be fine, it's not a huge deal if it's not 100% right in this application.

Yeah, I think the original wiring was 20, but my only concern was that they were too thin. I'm sure you'll be fine either way though.

Thanks for everyone's input.

I will try to get some 20 AWG and see if they are the same as the stock ones.

Just trying to keep everything neat and tidy :)
